Jenny Sue McCann’s love of animals started from the day she was born and continues today.
Jenny Sue grew up in the Midwest and began her pet-grooming career while attending high school. It was her Animal Care Class that stirred what has become her passion. After two years of full-time training and grooming at Pet Agree, a Minneapolis-area facility, Jenny took her talents to the Wonderful World of Pets.
After working at a few more groom shops and with a 3-year-old baby boy, Jenny Sue said, “It’s time to get out of the cold and move someplace warm.” So in 1993 she moved to Houston, Texas and immediately landed the Grooming Manager’s job at PetSmart in nearby Stafford, Texas.
After a 13-year, award-winning career with PetSmart, Jenny Sue became the Grooming Manager of a Conroe-area pet resort, where she spent the next 11 years building a loyal following.
Jenny Sue’s experience is remarkable. The love she gives her clients’ pets is undeniable. Her devotion and compassion to grooming is admired by those both in and out of the pet-care industry.
On November 7, 2016, Jenny opened the doors to her own salon, Jenny Sue’s Pet Grooming.
Leslie has been with Jenny Sue since she opened her business. Having worked in pet care since 2014 as receptionist at a local boarding facility, she was the perfect fit and has progressed to Senior Manager. With her charismatic personality and compassion for dogs and their owners, she ensures smooth, friendly and efficient operations at the business. She spends her free time with her family and loves to cook, play video games, watch a good movie and always enjoys outdoor activities.
Starting her hand in the pet industry at the very young age of 12 as a volunteer, Ciera has always loved being around animals. Mom to four cats and a cute little Shih-Tzu named Nelliel, Ciera lives on site and manages our boarding area, so she is always there to keep a close eye on things. In her free time, she loves gardening and enjoying the beauty of nature. She also enjoys sports, reading, and making things with her creative side.
At a very young age, Arianna knew she wanted to work with animals. While studying animal science, she started her first job as a kennel technician. With her drive, hard work and dedication, she learned as much as she could to become a manager. When she’s not taking care of our overnight boarders, Arianna is at home with her two pups, Luckie and Smokey, either cooking, traveling or dancing the night away!
Born and raised in Texas, Jamie started out as a bather right out of high school. Devoted to the pups, Jamie was eager to learn more and became a groomer in 2012. Marrying in 2013 and blessed with her daughter Phoebe in 2018, Jamie is a loving and caring mother, wife and employee. When she’s not grooming, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, taking trips, playing Pokémon Go or movie nights!
Having worked with all kinds of animals since she was just 16 years old, Kelly started with us as a bather, but with her drive and passion to learn more, she earned her a spot as a groomer. Kelly has her hands full at home with her horses, chickens, goats, peacocks, six dachshunds, and a pig. When she is not grooming or raising her farm, she is having fun racing ATVs or crafting.
Born and raised in Cypress, Randi moved to Conroe in 2022 with her 2 horses Jet and Smokey and her 2 pups Kodi and Dixie. Randi has always had love for animals — so much so that she started volunteering at a nonprofit shelter when she was just 10 years old. In her free time, you can catch her doing outdoor activities, shopping, baking or (more importantly) spending time with her family!
Originally hired on as a bather, Makayla worked hard to learn everything she could because she knew she wanted to become a groomer! Born with an artistic talent, when Makayla isn’t making your babies look beautiful, she’s putting her artistic talent to work at home. Makayla loves crafting or drawing, playing video games, spending time with her family or hiking with her German shepherd, Shelby.
While attending high school in the Spring area, Madisyn was able to participate in FFA where she first gained knowledge and experience with animals. Madisyn knew her career would be in the pet-grooming industry while she tested her grooming skills on lambs for competition. When she's not going on nature hikes with her 3 pups Rosie, Peanut Butter or Desmond, she’s probably cuddled up with them reading a good book or out bowling with her family.
Starting in 2008 working with animals, Karen graduated from vet paramedics school in 2011. Working with rescue groups, assisting in surgical procedures and performing dentals, Karen wanted to try her hand in a different profession and became a groomer in 2021. When Karen isn’t attending church, she’s proudly supporting the anti-human-trafficking movement, spending time outdoors, camping or entertaining her four pups: Milo, Coco, Oreo Nugget and Bocephus.
After serving our country in the U.S. Army, Mindy was ready for a career change. Her dream as a child had always been to work with animals, so she enrolled in a grooming school and never looked back. She has groomed numerous dogs over the years and takes pride in each and every groom. Having grown up with schnauzers and their spunky little attitudes, they tend to hold a special place in her heart. When she is not grooming, she loves to read, watch anime, and play video games.
With his love for driving the open roads and his compassion for animals, Greg was excited to take on the role as our Pup Bus driver. His absolute favorite breed is a Cavalier King Charles, so expect him to be giving yours lots of love when you visit! When he isn’t driving the bus or working reception, you can find him at home playing with his cat named Petey, driving around in his car or playing video games.
